Course Aims, Content and Outcomes
Graduate Diploma of TESOL is for students to gain professional competence in TESOL for program planning, teaching and assessment. The course supports students’ preparation, innovation and application of curriculum and teaching practices adapted to different contexts.
To achieve the qualification of Graduate Diploma of TESOL, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, the students must complete six units of study and be assessed as competent in all the units. For each unit of study students join in knowledge and skill building tasks investigating aspects of language study and teaching.
Entry Requirements
- Successful completion of a Bachelor degree, or an advanced Diploma, or equivalent with relevant working experience (include internship).
- Minimum IELTS of 6.0 or equivalent (international student)
Credit Transfer and Pathways
Credit transfer of a full year has been negotiated for enrolment in the Masters of TESOL in Flinders University, University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide.
